Quint Hellas is very pleased to have actively supported and contributed to the first open event-seminar on ISO20000 in Greece, organized in Athens by the IT Institute of the Hellenic Management Association (HMA-EEDE). The event, the third part of a “trilogy” comprising also ITIL v3 and CobiT, was very successful with a lot of interest and interaction by the audience.

The main speaker of the event was Rosario Fondacaro, Principal Consultant & ISO20000 Practice Manager of Quint Wellington Redwood, who offered and discussed Quint’s experience and know-how in key ISO20000 topics including:

  • Overview of the ISO20000 standard for IT Service Management
  • ISO20000 versus ITIL and ISO9000
  • Benefits and challenges of implementing ISO20000
  • Approach on ISO20000 implementation and certification
  • Assessment Phase – How to effectively assess compliance/readiness of an organization

Mr. Fondacaro shared also with the audience two case studies from organizations in Italy that have successfully implemented and achieved ISO20000 certification, one end-user organization (RFI-Italian Railways) and one IT service provider (TSF). The audience had the opportunity to recognize and understand the key concepts of ISO20000, appreciate the working of the ISO20000 standard and the potential contribution to IT organizations, get a high-level view of implementing ISO20000 and its challenges, and understand the certification process on ISO20000.
