History & Milestones

History
The year was 1992. Five enthusiastic Dutch consultants with a shared vision joined forces. By then, most organizations already had large quantities of hardware and software. However, the effectiveness and efficiency of the enormous investments were often not satisfactory.

It simply had to be possible to do better!

The name was by no mean an arbitrary choice. 'Quint' stands for five - the five founders of our company. The redwood is a giant pine tree. The Wellington Redwood is the Australian variant.

The five friends had concluded that organizations could only gain more from their Information Technology (IT) investments through a holistic, integrated and, most of all, a more managerial approach to IT.

That is exactly why Quint Wellington Redwood was established: to help organizations to get more from IT, not by adding more or new technology, but by simply managing IT better.

Right from the start, it was envisaged that this should eventually be done in an international setting, serving multinational corporations with unconventional solutions.

New and innovative management methodologies like the Implementation of Process oriented Workflow Model (IPW™) were developed. Many new innovative concepts and solutions followed. These methodologies have become the market standards of today. The methodologies, combined with the knowledge and the experience of the Quint people, have driven the success of Quint and its clients.

Building on the success, Quint has become the global company that it is today.
