Challenges
Our client, an employment agency operating in Western Europe, had recently gone through a large merger. The merged companies had quite different philosophies with regard to IT and the functionality of major corporate applications in the core business processes.
Solutions
Quint was asked to assist in making a choice with regard to the direction of future IT-functionality. Through a series of workshops, the strategy of the new company was assessed and related to choices in the IT domain. Several alternative scenarios were then created and assessed on strategic fit, costs and implementation risks. Detailed business cases for two remaining scenarios were made.
Results
This process of strategic decision-making resulted in well-founded choices and in a consensus amongst stakeholders that, in advance, had quite ambivalent and contradictory opinions on a future direction.
