Challenges
A financial firm with a strong position in real estate and mortgage services in Western Europe was struggling to align and coordinate its IT efforts for the relatively autonomous business units. Political debates and budget fights regularly made it very difficult to reconcile the constantly emerging needs of the business units with the overall imperative to use effective and standardized IT where appropriate.
