Business Aligned Change Management

Successful business leaders know that effective management of IT change is critical to their operating success. Many organisations invest significantly in Change Management including Change Advisory Boards with the aim of allowing change to occur with minimal disruption to the business. However, this can be difficult to consistently achieve. There are a number of common problems such as ineffective impact analysis of change requests, circumvention of the Change Management process and bottlenecks in processing change requests. This article considers these problems and the solutions from the perspectives of the organisation, process and technology.
