Quint ME announced that it has successfully delivered the first IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation with Exam in the Arabic language. The course and exam were delivered to staff of the National Information centre (NIC), the IT group for the Ministry of the Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is one of the biggest IT service providers. This training session was coordinated by Quint MEs’ partner in Saudi Arabia Duroob Technology.

ITIL is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. It consists of a series of documents describing processes, procedures, policies and management best practices that provide organizations with a framework for managing their information technology systems and  services. ITIL best practice allows IT organizations to align their service provision with the evolving needs of internal and external clients and deliver sustainable ROI to the business.

Whilst the ITIL library is available in several languages, this is the first time that an ITIL exam has been delivered in Arabic. Quint ME was pleased to offer this service to the Middle East area as this market is keen to embrace ITIL.

Once more, Quint ME is a pioneer in the field of ITIL training. Quint Middle East has been delivering ITIL foundation training in Arabic language in the region for a number of months, using its own internationally recognized intellectual property and EXIN-accredited training and reference materials. This is in line with Quint ME strategic goals of promoting arabization, ensuring the development of local professionals to transform the Middle East market into an internationally recognized centre of excellence, and transferring IT Service Management best practice knowledge and skills in Arabic, according to the local requirements and business environment in the region.

Michiel van der Voort, Vice President Business Development, EXIN International, whom attended personally the examination exercise, had the following to say:

"This is a major step for everyone in this region involved in IT Service Management. The availability of the training and the EXIN exam in Arabic is an important aspect of the success for Service Management in the Middle East. In close co-operation with international experts and the local itSMF Chapter, EXIN will invest in continual improvement of professionalism in IT Service Management by means of high quality, internationally recognized certification programs.

We look forward to expanding our activities in order to support the growing Service Management market. We congratulate the eleven participants who passed the exam and we would like to thank Quint for their enthusiasm and ongoing support of quality training in IT Service Management."
