Quint assists Tele Sistemi Ferroviari to gain first ISO/IEC20000 Certification in Italy

15 October 2007

International IT consultancy firm Quint Wellington Redwood has assisted the Italian IT services provider Tele Sistemi Ferroviari (TSF) in gaining the first Italian ISO/IEC 20000 certification. TSF was certified for ‘Information Technology – Service Management’. The ISO20000 certification is based on ITIL Best Practices, which represents the ‘de facto’ standard in IT Service Management. TSF is an Italian industry leader IT service provider and delivers services to transport and logistics companies.

TSF has reached the certification by adopting a service culture and working closely together with Quint Wellington Redwood. Quint worked as a training provider and delivered ITIL knowledge as well as consulting services. In this way TSF was able to quickly adopt ITIL Best Practices.

Giuseppe Carrella, TSF executive director, said: "By gaining this certification we are able to offer best practices in IT Service Management, especially in the Outsourcing Provider sector. We have demonstrated that a transformation is possible if the right people work together with the right approach, with the right culture, a clear goal and the right partner."

"We definitely expect more companies in the Italian IT Service Provider market to follow TSF’s example. As a result it could be a start of an era of innovation and growth in the ICT market in Italy," stated Rosario Fondacaro, senior consultant at Quint Wellington Redwood Italy and advisor to TSF during the ISO20000 implementation.
