Amsterdam, 27 May 2008 - NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) and Quint Wellington Redwood recently signed an umbrella agreement which enables Quint to join the selective company of NATO’s preferred suppliers.

Over the past several months, exploratory conversations took place between NATO and Quint Wellington Redwood. The diverged IT contracts and NATO architecture have been further streamlined and the option of Outsourcing has been explored. After various investigations, the BOA (Basic Ordering Agreement) has been signed.

As a result of the ever changing political objectives and technological developments, the North-Atlantic military organization for peace and freedom is continuously on the move. Therefore. NATO has developed a system of Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) to close umbrella agreements for ordnance, stocks, IT, consultancy and weapon systems.

Willem Voogt, principal consultant at Quint Netherlands, former commander at the Dutch Ministry of Defence, and the initiator of this contract, declares   that the hard efforts have been rewarded: "An important step has been taken to call in Quint Wellington Redwood’s specific expertise for complex challenges on sourcing and governance in the field of public order and safety. The BOA fits in well with the independent position, the knowledge and experience, as well as Quint’s international character."
