This Agile Awareness training course delivers a strong introduction into Agile and the Agile way of working in just a single day. The course focuses on the concept of ‘agility’ in an environment that is known for its increasing complexity and scalability. The participants will discover and experience the power of Agile in delivering customer value through iterative steps. In order to achieve this new mind set, the philosophy behind Agile is discussed and case studies, demonstrating the value of Agile, are presented. The value of the Agile way of working lies in the continuous learning of both the customer and the development team and thus continuously improving in the delivery of customer value. The roles of both customer en supplier are discussed intensively. The value of delivering in short-cycles, direct feedback loops and fixed deliver time frames relating to predictability are explained.
The Agile Awareness training is delivered in a single day and consists of two parts. It comprehends theory, but most of all practice. Case studies, exercises and discussions with other professionals are at the heart of this course. The first part of the course consists of the philosophy behind Agile, roles between Business and IT and exploration of Agile methods like Scrum and DSDM Atern. The second part is about using and executing Agile. Participants experience the Agile theory using challenging en pragmatic exercises and a simulation game. The impact of short cycle iterative and incremental development is made clear.
