During this three-day training, you will go deeper into the role of architects in an upscaled environment. In the training, you will learn and experience how you as an agile architect can apply your role within a SAFe® environment and which responsibilities and mindset you need for this. Attention is also paid to how you can align the architecture of your organization with the value for the customer and how to create a continuous flow within major system developments by supporting program execution.
With the help of this training, you as system/solution/business architects will be able to improve collaboration and alignment in a SAFe® Lean-Agile enterprise. In addition, the training will give you more insight into how architecture enables a continuous value stream and how architects are involved in and contribute to a successful Lean-Agile company. In addition, business architects profile themselves within the organization as effective leaders and change agents who together deliver architectural solutions.
During this training, you will learn how modern applications, such as XP techniques, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD), ensure a continuous flow of value delivery and the building in of quality. You will learn to use proven practices to detail, model, design, implement, verify and validate user stories in a SAFe® ‘Continuous Delivery Pipeline’. You will also learn how to build quality into the code (‘abstraction’, ‘encapsulation’, and ‘intentional programming’) and design (‘SOLID’ and ‘Design patterns’). In this way, you gain insight into the way in which software development fits into the larger context and your role in the collaboration with architecture and DevOps.
This training focuses on the technical members of Scrum teams, such as developers and testers. But this training can also be useful for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, managers, and others with a less technical background. This will give you a better understanding of the development process, which will make team collaboration more effective.
Prior to the training, it is important to have some experience in Scrum and agile working, to have an understanding of Leading SAFe® 4.6, experience in a SAFe® environment, and work as an architect, experienced software developer or collaborate a lot with architects
The SAFe® for Architects training is in preparation for the exam (included in price). The exam can be taken online and in your own time. Upon successful completion of the exam, one receives the SAFe® 4 Architect certificate.
